The meeting was called to order at 1:36 p.m. by Committee Chair Barbara Brenner in the
Council Committee Room, 311 Grand Avenue.

COMMITTEE DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL
1. RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COUNTY -WIDE LOCAL PHONE SERVICE
OPTION (AB96 -304)
Brenner gave background information.
Those speaking included:
George Reid, Information Services
Marry Snyder, Opportunity Council
Bob Woods, Council Budget and Program Analyst
Brown moved to recommend approval.
Sutter moved to amend by changing language on packet page 80, line 6:
..............................
............................... -93 "BE t, that justice in a democracy requires
equal access for all."
Motion to amend carried unanimously.
Brown moved to amend by adding language on packet page 80, after the last
"WHEREAS":

Motion as amended carried unanimously.
