WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL
Special County Council Meeting
January 10, 2006
Council Chair Laurie Caskey- Schreiber called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. in
the Council Chambers, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington.

L. Ward Nelson
1. ORDINANCE ADOPTING ONE -TENTH OF ONE - PERCENT SALES AND USE TAX FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING COUNTYWIDE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AND
AS REQUIRED BY LAW (AB2005 -471)
McShane moved to adopt the ordinance.
Motion carried unanimously.
Caskey- Schreiber moved to go into executive session to have a discussion with
Assistant Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor Daniel Gibson regarding pending litigation
(AB2006 -018) during a special Committee of the Whole meeting scheduled immediately
after this meeting adjourns.
Motion carried unanimously.
ADJOURN
The meeting adjourned at 12:05 p.m.
