Council Chair Sam Crawford called the meeting to order at 12:40 p.m. in the Council
Conference Room, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington.
Present: Sam Crawford, Kathy Kershner, Bill Knutzen, Ken Mann, and Carl Weimer
Absent: Barbara Brenner and L. Ward Nelson
I. CONSIDERATION OF MOTION TO DISMISS FILED BY WHATCOM COUNTY
REGARDING ADMINISTRATIVE APPEAL OF HEARING EXAMINER DECISION
ON APL 2009 -0023, FILED BY WESLEY MUSSIO (AB2010 -052) [Discussion of
this item may take place in executive session (closed to the public) pursuant to
RCW42.30.110(1)(i)]
2. DISCUSSION WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING UGA APPEAL ISSUES
(AB2010 -018) [Discussion of this item may take place in executive session (closed
to the public) pursuant to RCW42.30.110(1)(i)]
3. DISCUSSION WITH ASSISTANT CHIEF CIVIL DEPUTY PROSECUTOR DANIEL
GIBSON REGARDING PENDING LITIGATION (AB2010 -018) [Discussion of this
item may take place in executive session (closed to the public) pursuant to
RCW42.30.110(1)(i)]
Mann moved to go into executive session until approximately 1:30 p.m. to discuss
the three agenda items, pursuant to RCW citations.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Crawford, Kershner, Knutzen, Mann and Weimer (5)
Nays: None (0)
Absent: Nelson and Brenner (2)
