11 Committee Chair Ken Mann called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. in the Council

24 COMMITTEE DISCUSSION

26 1. RESOLUTION INITIATING PROPOSED WHATCOM COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE
27 PLAN AND ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS (AB2015 -085)

29 Brenner moved to approve the resolution with an amendment to remove PLN2015-
30 00001 regarding dog kennels in the agricultural zone.

32 John Lesow submitted a handout (on file) and stated he is available for questions on
33 PLN2015 -00002 regarding broadcast tower height limits in Point Roberts.

35 The committee discussed why they decided on a tower height limit of 25 feet,
36 whether there are restrictions on cellular telephone towers, and whether the Rover Stay
37 Over Hearing Examiner appeal has been withdrawn, requiring the County to record a notice
38 of compliance when code enforcement penalties have been paid.

40 James Ronback, Crossborder Coalition, submitted a handout (on file) and answered
41 questions.
