RESOLUTION NO. 2001 -063
HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
REQUEST NO, 08 -01
1 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the
2 County of Whatcom, State of Washington since: as noted per parcel below and,
3 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County
4 and the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
5 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends the
6 sale of the subject property;
7 WHEREAS, per RCW 36.35.150 (2), the county legislative authority may dispose of tax
8 foreclosed property by private negotiation, without a call for bids, for not less than the principal
9 amount of the unpaid taxes when the county legislative authority determines that it is not practical
10 to build on the property due to the physical characteristics of the property or legal restrictions on
11 construction activities on the property; and,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to sell:

18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public hearing
19 on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 155 day of January
20 200 2, at 7 p.m., at the County council Chambers, Whatcom County, Washington; and,
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
22 notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under RCW 36.34.030.
