If adopted, these ordinances will create two new funds, the Supplemental Retirement Fund and hnnate Trust Fund. I believe these funds are necessary for good accountability in these areas. Because we want to keep the number of funds as low as possible, I will be drafting an ordinance for introduction at the next council meeting that proposes the elimination of fifteen funds that are no longer necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that a new fund is hereby established, titled the " Whatcom County Supplemental Retirement Fund." This new fund shall be dedicated to the operation of the Whatcom County Supplemental Retirement Plan and the Whatcom County Director of Administrative Services shall be responsible for administration of the fund.
