AN ORDINANCE IN TI3F IMTTRR OF THE
ADOPTION OF THE FINAL BUDGET FOR
7HE YEAR 1980.
i ^IHEREAS, pursuant to and in conformity with the
provisions of Dome Rule Charter Section 6.10 relating to the
County Budget system the W'hatcom County Executive did complete
and place on file a preliminary budget for Whatcom Count,,, for the
fiscal year of 1980; and
WF'FREAS, following the completion of the preliminary
budget, a Notice was published once each week for two (2) con-
secutive weeks in the official newspaper of said, county, which
Notice stated that the County Council will meet on lovember 19
and 20, 1979, at 7 :00 p.m. for -the purpose of considering the
preliminary budget presented by the County Executive and ultimately
fixing the final budget and making tax levies and that any tax-
payer might appear and be heard for or against any part of said
a
budget; and
IHEPFAS, the estimates of expenditures in said
preliminary budget were full -v itemized as required by law, anO
a. sufficient number of copies of said preliminary bud.cfet were
available for distribution; and
WHEFEA.S, four (4) work sessions were held between
the dates of October 29 thru November 1.3, 1979, and at that time

the County Council analyzed the amounts set forth in the budget
in reference to deciding whether -the amounts were proper and
necessary amounts to be used by the various departments of
Whatcom County for the year 19230,, and
NOT „”, TFEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED that the amounts
hereinafter set forth in Exhibit A attached and incorporated by
reference herein are hereby adopted as the Whatcom County Budget
for the year 1980 for the various departments.
