5 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A REASONABLE FEE
FOR COPIES OF THE BUDGET, SUPPORTING TABLES,
6 AND BUDGET .MESSAGE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
7 G7EiEREAS, Section 6.50 of the County Charter
provides that the budget, budget message, and

supporting tables shall be furnished an.y
interested person for a reasonable fee as
9 established by ordinance;
10 AND WHEREAS, the County Executive has this day
presented to the County Council his preliminary
11 budget and budget message, and it should be
immediately available to the public for inspection
12 and copies be made available to any interested
person.

14 NOW, THEREFORE, THE WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL DOES
15 ORDAIN:
16 Section 1. The following are established as reason -
17 able fees as required by Section 6.50 of the Whatcom County
18 Charter:
19 Six dollars and fifty cents.($ 6.50 ) per copy
20 of the complete budget.
21 .,Ten cents (10¢) per page for each page or portion
22 of page, of the budget, budget message, or supporting tables.
23 Section 2. This ordinance is necessary for the
24 immediate preservation of public peace, safety, and for support
25 of the government and its existing institutions and shall take
26 effect immediately upon approval by the County Executive.
27 Section 3. The -- facts creating this emergency
23 are (1) the unanticipated early presentment of the proposed budgets
29 �and_budget message to the County Council by the County Executive,
30 and.(2) the eminent necessity that the information contained in
31 the budget, i;udget message and supporting tables be immediately
32 available for public scrutiny.
