AN ORDINANCE REGARDING A REVISED
BUDGET REQUEST FOR THE WHATCOM
COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Defense Civil Preparedness Agency has authorized
additional monies on a matching basis to Whatcom County Department
of Emergency Services to purchase warning and conununications equip-
ment for the Whatcom County Emergency Services Organization, and
WHEREAS, Whatcom County Sheriff, City of Ferndale, and the Fire
Protection. Districts will transfer their share of matching monies
for purchase of equipment to the Whatcom County Emergency Services
Fund, and
WHEREAS, the availability of more accurate budgeting data, the
effect of certain economies within the Department of Emergency
Services, and additional sources of revenue indicate the need for
specific line item changes, and
WHEREAS, a revised budget has been written which incorporates
additional revenues and line item changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Department
of Emergency Services Budget shall be amended to incorporate the
additional revenues and line item changes to reflect new estimated
expenditures and revenues in the following accounts:
