AN ORDINANCE.A14ENDING WHATCOM COU14TY CODE
3.08.025, SECTION IV, .REGARDING THE GARBAGE
DISPOSAL FEES.
WHEREAS, the County Council of Whatcom County, on July 19,1979,
fixed a date of hearing on the matter of amending the Whatcom
County Garbage Disposal Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said hearing was duly held and all persons present being
heard and all matters being considered by the Council,:and
WHEREAS, that the Whatcom County Garbage Disposal. Ordinance shall
be and is hereby amended, and
WHEREAS,. Whatcom County has acquired.certain sites for the use of
the public in disposing of garbage and refuse. County R.C.W.
36.58.010 and the sites are to be used for the disposal of garbage,
refuse, and solid waste, and
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 36.58.020 grants the County authority to establish
rules and regulations for such sites.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Section IV of the Garbage
Disposal Ordinance executed July...1,1968, amended January 21, 1974,
February 2, 1976, October 3, 1977, and January 3, 1978 and
W.C.C. Section 3.08.025 are further amended to read:
SECTION IV, W.C.C. 3.08.025: The following is a fee schedule for
disposal of garbage, refusq, and solid waste at all Whatcom County
sites:
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
All loads over half full shall pay for $3.50 /yd compacted
full capacity of container, loads less $2.00 /yd noncompacted
than half full shall pay at half capacity
BULK INDUSTRIAL & DEMOLITION HAULER., $4.00 /yd
PICKUP OR TRAILER
Mixed refuse & Clean burnables $3.00 /yd
