Prosecuting Atty. ORDINANCE N0. 79 -25 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ESTABLISH- MENT OF A SURETY BOND IN AN AMOUNT AND FORM FOR ALL ELECTED COUNTY OFFICIALS AND DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES. PURSUANT TO HOME RULE CHARTER SECTION 9.50. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED Section l.: The Public Official Bonds of certain elected officials and employees the County named shall be fixed in the following sums: 1. Clerk $125,000.00 2. Assessor 25,000.00 3. Auditor 25,000.00 4. Prosecuting Attorney 25,000.00 5. Sheriff 25,000.00 6. Treasurer 1503000.00 7. Executive 223500.00 8. County Council 53000.00 Members 9. Medical Examiner 10,000.00 10. District Court Judge 10,000.00 11. District Court Clerk 20,000.00 12. Employees of District 1,000.00 Court 13. Public Works Director 50,000.00 Section 2.: Such surety bonds, shall be in form joint and several and made payable to Whatcom County or the State of Washington.as may be required by law. Section 3.: The Tort Claims Division of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office shall have sole authority to purchase said bonds, at the lowest possible expense in conformance with funds from the premium category of the Tort Claims, Settlement, Defense, and Judgment Fund.
