AN ORDINANCE. AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF
TAXES FOR THE COUNTY AND STATE PUR-
POSES FOR THE YEAR 1981 PURSUANT TO
HOME RULE SECTION 6.10

WHEREAS, pursuant to Home Rule Charter Section 6.10 the County
Executive is required to submit for Council consideration proposed
tax and revenue ordinances necessary to raise sufficient revenues
to balance the budget, and.
WHEREAS, at this time this matter coming.on regularly for consid-
eration by the Council and the Levy for the State taxes as herein-
after made being,in accordance-.with the notice as given by the
State Board of Equalization;:and`State Auditor in the manner provid-
ed by law; the County taxes; having been based''on estimates filed
in accordance with'Chapter.164, "'Session,Laws of.1923 as amended;
the Port of Bellingham taxes "being "in accordance,wi,th the R.esolut
ion of the Board of.:, .Port'` Commissioners of : the, Port ; of_, Bellingham;
the taxes of the Whatcom'.County:Fire`Protection Districts; Water
Districts and Cemetery, Districts'.being ln',accordance with requests
by the Commissioners' of :the` Various" districts , - the``School taxes
: iates being in : accordance withte ;est " shed by the Dir
ectors,of the several'Schoo,1 Districts and by :'the, ;Chairman of

hereby are levied taxes of Whatcom County., Washington, to be,
