8 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A REASONABLE FEE
FOR COPIES OF THE BUDGET,SUPPORTING TABLES, AND BUDGET
9 MESSAGE AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE WHATCOM COUNTY HOME
RULE CHARTER, ARTICLE 6.SECTION 6.50

11 WHEREAS, Section 6.50 of the County Charter provides
that the budget, budget message, and supporting tables
12 shall be furnished any interested person for a reason-
13 able fee as established by ordinance; and
14 WHEREAS, the County Executive presented the preliminary
budget for 1981 to the Council Council along with the
15 budget message on October 9, 1980, and it should be
immediately available to the public for inspection and
16 copies be made available to any interested person.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1.
The following are established as reasonable feeE
1911as required by Section 6.50 of the ,9hatcom County Home Rule Charter:
2011 Six dollars and fifty cents ($6.50) per copy of the com-
21 11plete budget .
22 Ten Cents.(10Y) per page for each page or portion of page
23 of the budget, budget message, or supporting tables.
24 SECTION 2. The fact creating this emergency is the em-
25 inent necessity that the information contained in the budget,
26 budget message and supporting tables must be immediately avail- -
27 able for public scrutiny.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance is necessary for the immediate
2911preservation of public peace, safety and for support of the gov-
30 Ilernment and its existing institutions and shall take effect immed-
31 iately upon approval by the County Executive,
