AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A REVOLVINri FUND FOR
THE USE OF THE ALCOHOLISM ADMINISTPATIVE BOARD
REPEALING AN U14NUPIBERED RESOLUTION OF THE SAME
SUBJECT MATTER ADOPTED TI ARCH 4, 1976.
PREAMBLE: The Executive Director of the Alcoholism
Administrative Board has requested that a revolving fund
that was established by resolution in 1-976 be available
for purposes other than those listed in the Resolution of
1976. The Director- feels it is necessary that the fund
be available to _Hermit the payment of bus, train and ferry
fares and client meals for individuals referred to treat-
ment resources outside of Whatcom County, and for postage
due and United Parcel costs unavailable through County
Purchasing Department. This Council finds that this is
expedient, advisable and in the best public interest
that such a fund be broadened to include those purposes.
This fund was previously established by Resolution but it
is advisable that this .fund be established by Ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF WH?`_TCOM COUNTY:
Section 1. A revolving fund is established to permit the
payment of bus, train and ferry fares and client meals for
individuals referred to treatment resources outside of Whatcom
County, and for postage due and United Parcel costs unavailable
through :the County Purchasing Department. The fund established
by prior Resolution shall remain available for the implementa-
tion of this Ordinance.
Section 2. An unnumbered resolution of ^larch 4, 1976 of
the same subject matter is hereby repealed.
