ORDINANCE NO. 82 -83
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF MODIFYING THE STOP SIGN CONTROL AT THE
INTERSECTION OF BROWN ROAD AND NORTH STAR ROAD.
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200, it is found necessary and expedient
to place traffic control signs on certain County Roads, and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Department has conducted an investigation of this
location, and
WHEREAS, an Engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the intersection of Brown Road and North
Star Road, Section 10, Township 39 North, Range 1 East, W.M., be changed
from a two -way stop intersection to a four -way stop intersection. Stop signs
shall be installed as follows:
On North Star Road at Brown Road, stopping northbound traffic, and
on North Star Road at Brown Road., stopping southbound traffic.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby directed to
post the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the
Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
