ORDINANCE NO. 82-81
AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SILVER. LAKE
ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415 to
establish speed limits on certain county roads, and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the Engineering Division, and
WHEREAS, a review was conducted by the Sheriff's Department,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the speed limits be set as follows:
1) 25 MPH.on Silver Lake Road, south of SR 542 to the end, Sections
30 and 31, Township 40 North, Range 6 East and Section 36, Town-
ship 40 North, Range 5 East.
2) 35 MPH on the Silver. Lake Road between 1300 feet south and 4000
feet north of the main entrance to Silver Lake Park, Section 7,
Township 40 North, Range 6 East.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby directed to
post appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington
State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
