ORDINANCE NO. 82 -79
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF CHANGING YIELD SIGNS TO STOP SIGNS IN
THE GENEVA AREA.
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200, it is found necessary and expedient
to place traffic control signs on certain County Roads,
WHEREAS, an Engineering investigation was made and it was found that conditions
warrant a Stop sign.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the.Yield signs be removed and Stop signs
be installed at the following locations:
1) On Spring Street, where westbound traffic now yields at
Lakewood.Lane;
2) On Spring Street, where eastbound traffic now yields at
Geneva Avenue;
3) On Spring Street, where westbound traffic now yields at
Austin Street;
4) On'Noxgw). Street, where westbound traffic now yields at
Geneva Street;
5) On Tbrgan. Street, where eastbound traffic now yields at
Austin Street;
6) On Morgan Street, where westbound traffic now yields at
Austin Street;
7) On Desmond Street, where westbound traffic now yields at
Austin Street
All locations within sections 26, 27 and 35; Township 38 North, Range 3 East,
W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby directed to
post the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the
Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
PASSED this 18th day of November 1982.
