ORDINANCE NO. 82-66
AN.ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 80 -26,
REGARDING A CHANGE IN THE WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
ON THE CEDARLUND ROAD BRIDGE NO. 44
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 46.44.080 .grants Whatcom County the authority to
reduce weight limits on bridges, and
WHEREAS, an engineering investigation was conducted and it was
found that the structural capability of the Cedarlund Road Bridge has
reduced;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Cedarlund Road Bridge
No. 44 posted load limit be reduced from 2.5 Tons to 1.5 Tons.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Whatcom County Engineer is hereby
directed to cause appropriate signs be erected and that the Whatcom County
Sheriff and Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
