ORDINANCE NO. 82 -45
AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH SPEED LIMITS
ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under
R.C.W. 46.61.415 to establish speed limits on County roads; and,
,WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic investigation has
been performed which indicates the need for a change in the speed
limitsof certain County roads;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the speed limits
be set as follows:
1. 45 M.P.H. on the Blaine Road, between the
Blaine City limits and the Bay Road, Sections
174, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30, 31, and 32, Township
40 North, Range 1 East;
2. 40 M.P.H. on the East Bakerview Road, between
Bellingham City limit's' and -Hannegan ,Road, 'between
Sections 7 and 18, a,nd•8 -.and 17 in TownshiAp 38
North, Range 3 East of !V. .M.
3. 35 M.P.H. on Vista Drive, between the Ferndale
City Limits and the Brown Road, Sections 7 and
18, Township 39 North, Range 2 East.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that.,the County Engineer be and
is'hereby directed to post appropriate signs and that the Whatcom
County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol be notified by a
copy of this ordinance.
