ORDINANCE NO." 82 -32
AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ALCOHOLISM PROGRAM
FUND TO ENCOMPASS THE COSMOS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Alcoholism Administrative Board
(W.C.A.A.B.) has reviewed the need for a local intensive
outpatient treatment service to be operated in conjunction
with the Whatcom County Community Alcoholism Center, and
WHEREAS, the W..C.A.A.B. commissioned an in -depth feasibility
study and needs assessment in regard to establishment of
such a service, and
WHEREAS, the results of said study and assessment have estab-
lished to the satisfaction of the W,C.A.A.B, a definite need
for such a service, and has voted unanimously to initiate
such a service, and
WHEREAS, sufficient monies do exist within the unencumbered
Beginning Fund Balance, Community Alcohol Center, and COSMOS
Client Fees accounts to cover a revised budget for such a
service, to be designated COSMOS (Intensive Outpatient
Alcoholism Treatment Program);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the following revision to
the Alcoholism Program Fund is hereby approved:
