HomeMy WebLinkAboutord1983-1101 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 07AMBUDG.RV :INTRODUCED BY I-iansery DATE 12/15/83 PROPOSED BY County Executive p ''1 ORDINANCE NO. 83 -110 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A REVISED BUDGET TO THE 1983 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND, NON- DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET THEREIN WHEREAS, Whatcom County and the City of Bellingham have entered into a "Countywide Joint Powers Agreement For Emergency Medical Care and Transportation ", and WHEREAS, Section III, Paragraph B of said contract provides that expenditures in excess of income from user fees and non - designated donations shall be shared equally by the City and County to completely fund the service prior to the conclusion of the calendar year in question, and WHEREAS, expenditures for the 1983 emergency medical care and transportation service have exceeded their budgeted level by approximately $40,000, Whatcom County's share being $20,000 plus a 1983 year -end shortage of $2,300, and unbudgeted funds are available in the Current Expense Fund to allow supplemental. funding; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED the following revised budget is hereby approved for the 1983 Current Expense Fund Non - Departmental Budget therein: 501 Ending Fund Balance ($22,300) 0000 -0100 Non- Departmental Budget 526 -20 -51 Intergovernmental. Services /Ambulance $22,300 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council finds that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and /or support of the County government. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval by the County Executive. APPROVED this 1.5th day of December. , 1983.
