AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 82 -68
REDUCING THE SALES TAX RATE IN WHATCOM
COUNTY COMMENCING JULY 1, 1984
ORDINANCE NO. 82 -68 is hereby amended as follows:
Section 2.
The rate of tax imposed by Section 1 of this Ordinance
shall be five - tenths (5/10) of one percent (lo) of the selling
price (in the case of the sales tax) or value of the article used
(in the case of the use tax) through June 30, 1984. Thereafter,
commencing July 1, 1984, the rate of tax imposed by Section 1 of
this Ordinance shall be three - tenths (3/10) of one percent (1%)
of the selling price (in the case of the sales tax) or value of
the article used (in the case of the use tax).
ADOPTED this 1st day of December, 1983.
