ORDINANCE NO. 83 -81 Q�
AN ORDINANCE IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS
ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415
to establish speed limits on certain County Roads, and
WHEREAS, an Engineering Study was conducted by the County Engineer's office,
and
WHEREAS, a review was conducted by the County Sheriff's office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the speed limits be established as
follows:
1) 40 -MPH on Berthusen Road, between Loomis Trail
Road and West Badger Road, Sections 13
and 14, Township 40 North, Range 2 East,
W.M., and
2) 40 -MPH on Custer School Road, between Creasy
and Interstate -5, Sections 25 and 26,
Township 40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.,
and
3) 45 -MPH on Stadsvold Road, between Haynie Road
and Sweet Road, Section 9, Township 40
North, Range 1 East, W.M., and
4) 45 -MPH on Sweet Road, between Stadsvold Road and
1000 feet east of Odell Street, Sections
4, 5, 8 and 9, Township 40 North, Range
1 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby directed
to post appropriate signs, and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the
Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
