HomeMy WebLinkAboutord1983-0611 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 11DATE July 21. 19 INTRODUCED BY fianse PROPOSED BY Public Works Department_ ORDINANCE NO. 83•-61 F� �3 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH PARKINC CONTROL ON BIRCH BAY DRIVE WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.570, it is found necessary and expedient to place traffic control signs on certain county roads; and WHEREAS, a study was conducted by the Whatcom County Engineer's office in cooperation with the 14hatcom County Sheriff's office; and WHEREAS, the roadway features of Birch Bay Drive, in those areas listed below, are not adequate to safely allow vehicles to park on the roadway shoulder due to high volumes of pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic. :SOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that No Parking Anytime, Tow Away Zone, be established on the following sections of Birch Bay Drive, Section 30, Township 40 North, Range 1 East, [?.T4. , the waterside only: (1) Between Harborview Road and 0.38 miles south of Harborview Road, and (2) between 0.48 miles and 0.56 miles south of Ilarborview Road, and (3) between 0.60 miles and 0.85 miles south of Ilarborview Road. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby direct- ed to post the appropriate signs, and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
