ORDINANCE NO. 83-57
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A REVISED BUDGET
FOR THE 1983 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND
NON - DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET THEREIN
FOR JAIL CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, payments to the Whatcom County Jail construction
contractor have accelerated from their anticipated rate due to
the project being ahead of schedule, and
WHEREAS, the State of Washington has begun to withhold an
unanticipated three percent I e v e 1 on funding of final
construction payments to Whatcom County, and
WHEREAS, these factors have created a shortage in funding for
the 1983 Jail Construction Fund as budgeted, additional
payments having been planned for the 1981 budget, and it is
necessary to continue timely payments to the contractor as work
progresses on the new Jail facility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED the following revised budget is
hereby approved for the 1983 Current Expense Fund, Non -
Departmental Budget therein:

501 Ending Fund Balance ($87,332.00)
EXPENDITURE:
0000 -0100 Non - Departmental
523- 50 -62 -03 Construction (New Jail)
$87,332.00
