AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 82 -95
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CORRECTING THE LEVY
FOR THE VETERAN'S RELIEF FUND
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 82 -95 Was enacted by the County Council
and authorized the levy of taxes for County and State purposes
for the year 1983; and
WHEREAS, the levy rate for the Veterans' Relief Fund contained
in said ordinance Was set forth incorrectly; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend said ordinance in order to
correct the levy rate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Ordinance No. 82 -95 be
amended and the Treasurer be instructed to transfer $13,542.07
in June, 1983, and transfer $13,542.07 in December, 1983, from
the Veterans' Relief Fund to the Current Expense Fund of
Whatcom County, and the levies for Veterans' Relief and Current
Expense shall be adjusted to levels as per the attached Exhibit
nAn.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a copy of this ordinance shall be
attached to the Order of Levy Ordinance no. 81 -95 to reflect
this correction, and by reference is made a part thereof.
