ORDINANCE NO. 83 -46
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON
LABOUNTY ROAD
WHEREAS, the Whatcan County Council is authorized under R.C.W. 46.44.080
to impose weight restrictions on certain County roads; and
WHEREAS, structural inadequacies of LaBounty Road necessitate the imposition
of weight restrictions, as determined by the Whatcom County Engineer.
NOW, T ZEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that weight restrictions be set as follows:
Section 1: Vehicles operating on the LaBounty Road
Section 33, Township 39 North, Range 2 Fast,
W.M., shall be limited to 20 Tons gross vehicle
weight.
Section 2: Vehicles operating on the LaBounty Road,
Section 33, Township 39 North, Range 2 East,
W.M., which are making deliveries to or
collections from residences or businesses
located on this described portion of roadway,
shall be exempt from the conditions of Section 1,
above.
BE IT FUR HM ORDAINED, that the Whatcom County Engineer be and is hereby
directed to post appropriate signs, and that the Whatcom County Sheriff
and the Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
