ORDINANCE NO. 83 -44
AN ORDINANCE IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS
ON KLINE ROAD, WYNN ROAD AND MARIETTA AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415
to establish speed limits on certain County roads; and
WHEREAS, an Engineering Study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office; and
WHEREAS, a review was conducted by the County Sheriff's office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that speed limits be established as
follows:
35 MPH on Kline Read, between State mute 539 and Hannegan Road,
Sections 5 and 6, Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.; and
35 MPH on Wynn Road, between Rural Avenue and Marietta Avenue,
Section 4, Township 38 North, Range 2 East, W.M.; and
25 MPH on Marietta Avenue, between Wynn Road and Curtis Road,
Section 4, Township 38 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby
directed to post appropriate signs and that the Whatcom. County Sheriff
and the Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to the Whatcom. County Code,
Sections 10.04.030 and 10.04.050.
