WH=AS, in compliance with roti7 46.61.570, it is .found necessary and
expedient to place traffic control signs on certain County roads, and
T,TI=AS, a review was conducted by the County Sheriff's office and the
County Engineer's office, and
T %MREAS, the existing roadway features in the vicinity of Birch Bay -
Lynden Road and Harborview Road intersection are not adequate to safely
allow vehicles to nark on the roadway shoulder.
WIA7, ARE, BE IT ORTAT- NFD that a T,To Parking, rvty Away Zone be
established on the following sections of Countv roadway:
1) Birch Bav- Lvnden Road between Harborview Road
and 1/4 mile east of Harborview Road, both sides,
and
2) Harborview Road, between Birch Bay - Lynden Road
and Ccmfort Lane, both sides.
BE IT FUTTIM, ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby directed
to post the appropriate signs, and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and
the Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
PASSED this 19th day of May, 1983.
