WHEREAS, the current setback requirements for seasonal farm labor housing and camping facilities are greater than necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare'of the citizens of Whatcom County and may unduly burden the owners of agricultural land; and, WHEREAS,:the Bureau of Buildings and Code has introduced amendments to. Section 2.24.270.155 of the Interim Zoning Ordinance and Section 20.40.153 of the Official Whatcom County Zoning.Ordi to reduce the setback requirements.; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of state law the Whatcom County SEPA official has issued a.Declaration of Non - Significance in this-matter; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the matter, conducted a duly advertised hearing on the proposed amendments, and prepared Findings, Reasons, and a Motion recommending adoption of the proposed amendments (as revised); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that Section 2.24.270.155 of the Interim Zoning Ordinance and Sectio 20.40.153 of the Official Whatcom Zoning Ordinance are hereby amende as set forth in Exhibits "E" and "F" attached hereto and in herein. iNIPROVED this 21st day of A ril WH CM CO ATTEST:..
