ORDINANCE NO. 83-24
AN ORDINANCE_ESTABLISHING AN.
EMERGENCY SERVICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FUND
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 82 -92 was passed on November 22, 1982,
auft'horizing the imposition of an excise tax on the use of
telephone access 'lines for the purpose of funding an Emergency
Service Communication System, and
WHEREAS, It is necessary to keep' these excise tax funds
separate from other funds and maintain a separate accounting
record for same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED there is established an
Emergency Service Communication System Fund number 0143 -0034;
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED-all monies collected thru the telephone
excise tax shall be deposited to this fund, and all
expenditures shall be by check drawn by the County Treasurer
and made payable quarterly per contract .speci,fications to the
Finance Director, City of Bellingham.
