HomeMy WebLinkAboutord1983-0141 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 DATE January 20, 1983 INTRODUCED BY Roehl PROPOSED BY Engineering ORDINANCE N0: 83 -14 AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF PLACING A STOP SIGN ON KARBER ROAD AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH GRANDVIEW ROAD WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200, it is found necessary and expedient to place traffic control signs on certain county roads, and .WHEREAS, Karber Road is a dead -end road and has recently been improved from a gravel surface to a paved surface, and WHEREAS, the installation of a stop sign at this location is felt to be in the best interest of the motoring public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that a stop sign be installed on Karber Road at its intersection with Grandview Road, stopping southbound traffic, Section 1, Township 39 North, Range 1 West, W.M. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby directed to post the appropriate sign and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
