ORDINANCE NO. 84 -85
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
REVISIONS TO THE 1984
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND,
SHERIFF'S AND PROSECUTING
ATTORNEY'S BUDGETS THEREIN
WHEREAS, Whatcom County made application to the State for a Driving While
Intoxicated (DWI) Impact Fund grant in 1983; and
WHEREAS, that grant application provided for funding for: (1) an additional
legal intern for the processing of DWI caseloads in the Prosecuting
Attorney's Office and (2) training and related equipment for the Sheriff's
Department; and
WHEREAS, the County has received $4,217.00 in 1983 State funds for that
purpose;
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE ORDAINED, that the following revisions are hereby
approved for the 1984 Current Expense Fund, Sheriff's and Prosecuting
Attorney's Budgets therein:

The motion of.the Whatcom County Council is to terminate
this position if the State discontinues the Driving While
Intoxicated (DWI) Impact Fund grant.
