ORDINANCE NO. S4_77
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN
EXPO 86 CONTINGENCY FUND
WHEREAS, the 1984 Current Expense Fund, Expo 86 Budget provides
an appropriation of $300,000.00 in contingency monies for
extraordinary expenditures required in preparing for Expo 86,
the World Fair to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia in
1986; and
WHEREAS, the unexpended portion of this appropriation will
lapse at year end as do all other current expense
appropriations; and
WHEREAS, the contingency for extraordinary expenses associated
with Expo 86 will be required to be available through 1986;
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE ORDAINED, the Expo 86 Contingency Fund
is hereby established and all remaining unencumbered
appropriation authority shall be transferred from the Current
Expense Fund, Expo 86 Budget to the new Fund by December 31,
1984. The Expo 86 Contingency Fund shall be fund number
14.7- 000 -001. The transfer shall be to fund balance and no
expenditure shall be made.until an appropriation is made.
