ORDINANCE NO. 84 -76
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A REVISED
BUDGET FOR THE 1984 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND
NON- DEPARTMENTAL, DWI PROGRAM-BUDGET THEREIN
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Sher.,l.ff's Department had received a
grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission to establish a
Driving While Under the Influence (DWI) program; and
WHEREAS, a new grant of Federal Funds, Project #AL84- 01 -1BH, has
been awarded to Whatcom County through the Washington Traffic Safety
Commission for the purposes of curbing the incidence of driving
while intoxicated through enforcement, treatment and public
education; and
WHEREAS, that grant provides $29,371.00 to be expended from July of
1984 through June of 1985 with $16,009.00 being required for planned
expenditures in the first six months; and
WHEREAS, Whatcom County will contract with an individual and the
Voluntary Action Center to provide administration and coordination
of these activities;
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE ORDAINED, the following budget for the
Current Expense Fund, Non - Departmental, DWI Program budget therein,
is established and hereby approved:
