ORDINANCE NO. 84 -69
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET TO THE
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND 1984 BUILDINGS AND CODE BUDGET FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR
PROFESSIONAL PLAN CHECK SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Buildings & Code Administration utilizes the plan
check services of the International Conference of Building Officials to perform
the Building Code review on major engineered construction projects; and
WHEREAS, the fee for this service is based upon a percentage of the plan
check fee charged by Whatcom County to the applicant; and
WHEREAS, this fee is paid out of the Professional Services Line Item
in the Buildings & Code budget; and
WHEREAS, the Bureau is incurring unanticipated costs for outside plan
checks in excess of the amount budgeted under Professional Services; and
WHEREAS, these additional costs will be offset by plan check revenue
to be received by the Bureau;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Current Expense Fund 1984 Buildings
and Code Budget is hereby supplemented as follows:
Revenues
001 - 000 - 001 - 341- 83-00 -01 Plan check fees /Building $15,000
Expenditures
001 - 000 - 471- 524- 20 -31 -00 Professional Services $15,000
