4 ORDINANCE NO. 84 -57
5 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE URBAN FRINGE
SUBAREA OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR CERTAIN
6 AREAS LOCATED EAST OF AND ADJACENT TO
I -5 FRONTAGE ROAD, SOUTH OF SLATER ROAD
7 AND NORTH OF WEST BAKERVIEW ROAD.
8 WHEREAS, the Official Zoning Map to implement the Urban
9 Fringe Comprehensive Plan was adopted pursuant to Ordinance 84 -38
10 on April 12, 1984; and,
11 WHEREAS, Section 4 of said ordinance directs the Chairper:
12 of the County Council to initiate reconsideration of amendments to
13 the Official County Zoning Map affecting the area located east of
14 and adjacent to I -5 Frontage Road, south of Slater Road and north
15 of West Bakerview Road; and,
16 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Planning Commission, pursuant
17 to RCW 36.70.440, notified the County Council that if any revisions
18 to its recommended Urban Fringe Subarea Zoning Map are to be made
19 by the Council, then any required public hearing should be conductec
20 by the County Council; and,
21 WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted on May 10-, 1984,
22 following the publication of a legal notice in the official
23 Whatcom County newspaper, stating the time, place and purpose of
24 said hearing;
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County
26 Council as follows:
27 SECTION 1. Official Zoning Map
28 The Urban Fringe Subarea Zoning Map affecting the
29 geographic area situated east of and adjacent to the I -5 Frontage
36' Road, south of Slater Road, and north of West Bakerview Road, is
31 hereby amended to establish the Tourist Commercial and Light Impact
32 Industrial Zoning designations set forth in Exhibit 2, which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

SECTION 2. Signature
The Chairperson of the Whatcom County Council is hereby
authorized to affix his signature to the Zoning.Map and all other
documents necessary to indicate Council approval.
