ORDINANCE NO. 94--51 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE URBAN FRINGE SUBAREA OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FROM URBAN RESIDENTIAL MEDIUM DENSITY TWELVE (12) UNITS PER ACRE TO URBAN RESIDENTIAL MEDIUM DENSITY EIGHTEEN (18) UNITS PER ACRE FOR CERTAIN LAND SITUATED SOUTH OF I -5, WEST OF MAPLEWOOD AVENUE AND NORTH OF THE BELLINGHAM CITY LIMITS. WHEREAS, the Official Zoning Map to implement the Urban Fringe Subarea Comprehensive Plan was adopted pursuant to Ordinance No. 84 -38 on April 12, 1984; and, WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Planning Commission, pursuant to RCW 36.70.440, notified the County Council that if any revisions to its recommended Urban Fringe Subarea Zoning Map are to be made by the Council, then any required public hearing should be conductec by the County Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council has before it a proposal to amend the Urban Fringe Subarea of the Official Zoning Map from Urban Residential Medium Density twelve (12) units per acre to Urban Residential Medium Density eighteen (18) units per acre for certain land situated south of I -5, West of Maplewood Avenue and North of the Bellingham City limits; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted on June 7, 1984, following the publication of a legal notice in the official Whatcom County newspaper, stating the time, place and purpose of said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council as follows: SECTION 1. SECTION 2. Signature The Chairperson of the Whatcom County Council is hereby authorized to affix his signature to the Official Zoning Map and al other documents necessary to indicate Council approval of this Iaction.
