HomeMy WebLinkAboutord1984-0241 2 3 4 5 6i 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 INTRODUCED BY: CONSENT PROPOSED BY: COLE DATE INTRODUCED x/16/84 ORDINANCE NO. 84 -24 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20.92.150 OF THE WHATCOM COUNTY ZOINING ORIDNANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLARIFYING THE APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE FOR THE HEARING EXAMINER WHEREAS, Chapter 20.92.150 of the Whatcom County Zoning Ordinance establishes the basis for the removal of the Hearing Examiner, but fails to indicate the manner of appointment; and WHEREAS, the Hearing Examiner is a part of the legislative branch of county government; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Chapter 20.92.150 of the Whatcom County Zoning Ordinance be and hereby is amended as follows: .150 APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL The Hearing Examiner shall be appointed by a majority vote of the County Council. The Hearing Examiner may be removed from offic at any time by an affirmative vote of not less than 2/3 of the members of the County Council for just eauee. PASSED this 1st day of March, 1984.
