AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF PLACING A YIELD SIGN ON
BEAM AVENUE, AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH ISLAND DRIVE, LL MI ISLAND
WHEREAS, in ccupliance with RCW 46.61.200, it is found necessary and
expedient to place traffic control signs an curtain County roads; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorised under RCW 47.36.110
to install "Yield" signs as deemed appropriate; and
WHEREAS, an Engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office, which determined that a "yield" sign is warranted.
NOW, T'H MEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that northwest baud traffic an Reach
Avenue shall yield to traffic traveling an Island Drive, at their intersec-
tion, Section 23, Township 37 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
BE IT EURTHM ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby
directed to post the appropriate sign, and that the Whatoom County Sheriff
and the Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to the Whatcam County Code,
Section 10.18.
