ORDINANCE NO. 84-20
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF MODIFYING THE STOP SIGN
CONTROL AT THE iNTERSBCITON OF GREENVILLE STREET AND GREENVILLE DRIVE,
GREMVILLE EAST SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200, it is found necessary and
expedient to place traffic control signs on certain County roads; and
WHEREAS, a request was received from the Washington State Patrol for
modification in traffic control signing at the Greenville Street and
Greenville Drive intersection, previously established under Resolution
E -78 -18 Item Number 1; and
WHEREAS, an Engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office and modification in the "Stop" sign control is warranted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the existing "Stop" sign stopping
westbound traffic on Greenville Street at Greenville Drive be removed, and
a "Stop" sign be installed an Greenville Drive stopping southbound traffic
at Greenville Street, Section 15, Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
BE IT F[aMM ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby
directed to post the appropriate signs, and that the Whatom County Sheriff
and the Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER ORnhINED that the provisions of Resolution E- 78 -18, Item
Number 1 be hereby rescinded and that the provisions of this ordinance and
the provisions of Resolution:E -78 -18 Item Numbers 2, 3 and 4 be hereby
added to the Whatcom County Code, Section 10.24.
