ORDINANCE NO. 84 -2
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING PERMITS AND CERTIFICATES
AND THE PAYMENT OF FEES AND CHARGES IN CONFORMANCE
WITH THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1979 EDITION, ARTICLE
4, SECTION 4.101, AND ORDINANCE NO. 82 -19 SECTION
2.04.020 -A
WHEREAS, the County Council has determined that it is in the public
interest to provide protective inspection for fire prevention and require the
issuance of permits and the payment of fees for permits and inspection
services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the. Whatcom County Council that it
shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to use a building,
structure, or premises regulated by this ordinance, or engage in any activi-
ties regulated by this ordinance, without first obtaining a permit for each
such building, structure, premises or activity.
SECTION I. FEES, CHARGES AND INSPECTIONS.
All fees and charges shall be collected by and payable to the Bureau
of Buildings and Code Administration.
All permits shall be approved by the County Fire Marshal and /or the
Building Official.
