ORDINANCE NO. 85 -92
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A JUVENILE
FACILITY RESERVE FUND
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council finds that the
development of a new juvenile detention facility is
necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the
citizenry; and
WHEREAS, there are not funds immediately available
for the development of such a facility; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to plan and provide
for the development of such a facility as soon as
the fiscal means to do so are available,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED as follows:
1. There is hereby created the Juvenile Detention
Facility Reserve Fund (hereinafter referred to
as the "Fund ").
2. A transfer of $200,000 shall be made no later than
December 1, 1986 from the Current Expense Fund to the
Juvenile Detention Facility Reserve Fund.
ADOPTED this 25th day of November 11985.
