ORDINANCE NO. 85 -52
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 85 -32 CHANGING THE SECTION
AMENDED FROM WHATCOM COUNTY
CODE 20.40 TO THE INTERIM ZONING
ORDINANCE 2.24.270.
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of May, 1985, the Whatcom County
Council passed an Ordinance amending Whatcom County Code
Section 20.40 by adding a new section .164; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance listed 20.40 as the Interim Zoning
Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Section 20.40 refers to the Agricultural District
in the Official Zoning Ordinance and the Planning Department
wished to have the new section placed in the Agricultural
District of the Interim Zoning Ordinance which is actually
2.24.270.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Section 2.24.270 of
the Interim Zoning Ordinance shall be amended by adding a new
section as follows:
.164 Restaurants, when located on the same
property and subordinate to aermanent
facility or the processing of a ricural
products into tood or beverage or uman
consumption rovided that the size, scale
and c aracter of th e restaurant f acilit
are compatible e wit the agricultural/rural
character o the surrounding area an are
consistent with the general purpose o t e zone istrict.
