HomeMy WebLinkAboutord1985-050JUVORD /13 1 2 3 4 5 6' 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 INTRODUCED BY Consent PROPOSED BY County Executive DATE June 20, 1985 ORDINANCE NO. 85-50 AN ORDINANCE TO RE►ISE THE 1985 CURRENT RXPBNSE FUND, JUVENL.R COURT/PROBATION BUDGET WHEREAS, the Substitute Bill 4229 signed into law on April 17, 1985, prohibits placing youths under 18 ,years of age in an adult jail unless they are separated from sight and sound of adult inmates; and WHEREAS, Whatcom County has been taking its youthful detainees to the new jail facility for health care needs during adult sick -call time at no extra expense to the juvenile court /probation budget; and WHEREAS, it is not cost - effective to attempt to segregate the .existing health care area of the new jail; and WHEREAS, a new contract must be drawn up and entered into with the Bellingham - Whatcom County Health District to provide health care services in the juvenile detention facility; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, that the following revisions to the 1985 Current Expense Fund, Juvenile Court /Probation Budget therein is hereby approved: 1985 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND JUVENILE COURT /PROBATION BUDGET RESOURCES: 00120 -501 . APPROPRIATION ENHANCEMENT: 00197- 527 -60 -41 -020 ENDING FUND BALANCE $2,000.00 BELLINGHAM /WHATCOM $2,000.00 COUNTY HEALTH DISTRICT APPROVED this 11th day of July , 1985.
