WHEREAS, the 1985 Public Defender's Budget anticipates the elimination of one
position effective May 30, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the Public Defender's caseload has increased in the first three
months of 1985 from the same time frame in 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's criminal prosecution staff has increased
over 1984; and
WHEREAS, this increased caseload requires continuation of the deputy scheduled
for phase -out on May 30, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the defense of two major murder cases is requiring extensive
professional services support;
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE ORDAINED, that the 1985 Whateom County Current Expense
Fund, Public Defender's Budget therein is revised as follows:
