ORDINANCE NO. 85 -19
AN ORDINANCE DISSOLVING FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 20
WHEREAS, on the 10th day of October, 1979, Resolution No.,
79-28 was duly adopted, creating Fire Protection District No. 20;
WHEREAS, since that time Fire Protection District No. 20 has
11 been inactive in accordance with the standards set out in Revised
Code of Washington 36.96; and,
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council had a public hearing to
Ideterm' tho- the status of Fire Protection District No. 20, wherein

Findings were entered which are incorporated by reference into
this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of said hearing, it was determined by
the Whatcom County Council to be in the public's best interest
that Fire Protection District No. 20 be dissolved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Fire Protection District
No. 20 which was duly adopted on the 10th day of October, 1979,
shall be dissolved and said district shall cease to exist thirty -o
(31) days after the adoption of this Ordinance in accordance with
Revised Code of Washington 36.96.040.
PASSED this 4th day of April, 1985.
