ORDINANCE NO. 86 -91
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE
PLACING OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF SEMIAHMOO PARKWAY /LINCOLN ROAD AND SHINTAFFER ROAD
WHEREAS, IN COMPLIANCE WITH RCW 46.61.100 and RCW 47.36.110, it is found
necessary and expedient to place traffic control signs on certain county roads;
and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office; and it was found that conditions warrant intersection control modifica-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that intersectional traffic control be
modified at the following location:
1) A stop sign shall be located northbound on Shintaffer Road at
Semiahmoo Parkway /and Lincoln Road.
2) A stop sign shall be located southbound on Shintaffer Road at
Semiahmoo Parkway /Lincoln Road.
3) The existing stop sign eastbound on Semiahmoo Parkway at Shintaffer
Road shall be removed.
4) The existing stop sign westbound on Lincoln Road at Shintaffer Road
shall be removed.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and hereby directed to
post the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the
Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code
Section 10.16.
