HomeMy WebLinkAboutord1986-0861 2 31 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13. 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 I 27 28 29 30 31 32 INTRODUCED BY: CONSENT PROPOSED BY: DATE INTRODUCED: 11/6/86 ORDINANCE N0. 86 -86 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 83 -73, AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AN EQUIPMENT RENTAL DIVISION AND PROVIDING FOR ITS OPERATION AND ESTABLISHING AN EQUIPMENT RENTAL FUND TO BE USED AS A REVOLVING FUND FOR THE PURCHASE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT FOR WHATCOM COUNTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 36.33A RCW AND WHATCOM COUNTY HOME RULE CHARTER SECTION 2.20, BY ADDING THERETO FACILITIES THAT ARE OWNED AND MAINTAINED BY THE E. R. & R. FUND. WHEREAS, Bulletin 181, Office of the State Auditor, Division of Municipal Corporations, dated September 1, 1977, sets forth the procedure for implementing of said legislative action; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 83 -73, adopted the 18th day of August 1983, established within the Department of Public Works an Equipment Rental and Revolving Division and provided for establishing the Equipment Rental and Revolving Fund; and WHEREAS, the Equipment Rental and Revolving Fund has assets other than equipment as permitted by the laws of the State of Washington; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Section I.C., entitled "Establish /Purpose" of Ordinance No. 83 -73 be amended by adding thereto a new paragraph 5. 5. E. R & R. Facilities Purchase and Maintenance. To maintain existing facilities, purchase new facilities, and lease facilities that are owned by the E. R. & R. Fund. The Director of Public Works may lease E. R. & R. faciities to other departments or other offices of the County government and other governmental agencies as authorized herein or �L resolution of the County Council. I The Director shall be responsible for establishing rental rates to be charged for any facility that is leased to other departments or agencies of the County. ORDINANCE - 1.
