ORDINANCE NO. 86 -85
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
FOR PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION 1986 BUDGET
WHEREAS, Public Works Administration provides overall management and
fiscal accounting services for all divisions of the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Public Works Administration has assumed responsibility for the
direct supervision of the divisions of Road Maintenance, Road Construction and
Engineering, and Ferry Operations. These divisions previously reported directly
to the Engineering Division and the cost of direct supervision was budgeted in
the Road Fund account 543.10 Management; and
WHEREAS, the division of Engineering lacked sufficient office space to
operate effectively, Public Works Administration moved to 316 Lottie Street to
provide additional office space for the division of Engineering and other
Whatcom County departments; and
WHEREAS, Public Works Administration lacks sufficient appropriation
authority to pay additional costs resulting from its relocation to 316 Lottie
Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the 1986 Public Works
Administration budget be amended as follows:
